Introduction
The Graduate School of Business Administration was first opened in February, 1970, to provide instruction and in-depth study in the application of theories of business administration for managerial personnel endowed with leadership and creative ability.
The Graduate School of Business Administration offers both master and executive programs. The master programs have two major areas : business administration and international commerce. All classes are held in the evening.
Length of Programs and Residence
Master programs cover five semesters.
Admission
A person meeting one of the following qualifications is eligible to apply :
- 1) Graduates of regular 4 year university in Korea.
- 2) Graduates of regular 4 year university abroad accepted by the university president.
- 3) Those accredited by the Minister of Education.
The applicant is subject to an entrance examination which includes personal interview and oral test.
Application
Recruiting is made biannually, in December for spring semester (March-August) and in July for fall semester (September-February). Application is completed by submitting to the school a formal application form (supplied by the school) properly filled in and accompanied with the following :
- 1) Certificate of degree conferred or expected, or equivalent,
- 2) Official transcripts,
- 3) Four photos, 4×5 cm, taken within three months of the date of application.
Degree and Certificate
The student enrolled in the master program having satisfied all the pertinent requirements is awarded master of business administration (M.B.A.) for business administration major, and master of arts (M.A.) for international commerce major.
Regulations for The degrees
- M.B.A. students who are writing a dissertation will complete (1) three credits of common requirement, (2)twelve credits of major courses, and (3) nine credits of selective courses.
- M.B.A. students who are writing a report will complete (1) three credits of common requirement, (2) fifteen credits of major courses, and (3) nine credits of selective courses.
- M.A. students who are writing a dissertation will complete (1) twelve credits of major courses and (2)twelve credits of selective courses.
- M.A. students who are writing a report will complete (1) fifteen credits of major courses and (2) twelve credits of selective courses.
- An overall grade average of B or above is required for master degree.
